the 5.11 - propper tactical pants face off

When Propper committed to developing Tactical Pants they did so with the single mission of offering the highest quality, most functional Tactical Trousers on the market at the lowest possible price. 5.11® did a nice job adapting an alpine climbing pant for tactical use, but Propper Tactical Pants were designed from the ground up for the demands of law enforcement. While cotton has its applications, Propper realized that making the most durable Tactical Pants around was not one of them. Instead they chose a superior polyester / cotton blend to withstand the daily abuses inherent with service in the line of duty. And because you're more comfortable with a weapon in your hand than an ironing board, these pants were designed to be wrinkle and fade resistant. They topped off these beauties with a DuPont® Teflon® treatment making them one the most functional trousers on the planet. With a price under lower than 5.11, it's no wonder they're flying out the door, and shaking up the industry.
